"Rose") McGowan was born September 5 on 1973. She is an American
actress. McGowan's debut film appearance was in the comedy Encino Man (1992),
but she earned more recognition due to her part in The Doom Generation (1995)
in which she was awarded an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut
Performance. McGowan's first film appearance was in the horror film Scream in
1996. Later, she became the headliner of Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh
(1998), and Going All the Way (1997). McGowan's role as Paige Matthews on the
WB supernatural drama Charmed (2001-2006) was the most well-known part of her
career. McGowan was also a star in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's
double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) in which she was nominated both for the
Saturn Award as Best Actress and the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. In
2014, McGowan appeared in Chosen the action-thriller show. She released Planet
9, her first album as a studio artist in the year 2018, and a repackaging of
the album was released in 2020. McGowan was named the Silence Breakers in 2017
by Time magazine. This award acknowledges McGowan's work in the field of sexual
harassment and sexual assault especially with regards to Harvey Weinstein cases
of sexual assault and the Me Too movement. In the year 2018, she published
Brave, a memoir, and appeared in Citizen Rose, a four-part documentary series.
