Markie Post

Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek, California and started her career on films and TV shows, including Card Sharks (1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and later on create projects such as Double Dare (1976) and she has appeared on TV shows such as 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001). Perhaps her most famous TV role was as "Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). She was featured in 156 episodes of this comedy from 1984 to 1992. She was the daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, a poet, and noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7 15th, 2015). She had two daughters with her second husband Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 in 1990). Was born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. As a cheerleader, she attended Las Lomas High school in Walnut Creek. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was the trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). She was buried and her ashes were returned to Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post, who was three months removed from her 71st birthday date on the 4th of November, 2021, died on August 7. Her death occurred 27 days after fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed in July 2021. Although the two shows were not connected, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with Christine Sullivan's character departing for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), began with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later relocated into a smaller town after her time in Washington DC.
