Alona Tal

Alona Tal is an Israeli-American performer and actress. Her birthplace was in Herzliya on October 20, 1983. Following her service in the Israeli Defense Forces, she started her career. In 2003 she starred in an Israeli movie. It was her biggest break. Apart from her roles in Israeli films, she composed numerous tracks with Subliminal. Tal was able to move in with her sister in New York to take a leave from her profession. In the track "Party to Damascus", she collaborated in a duet with Wyclefjean from Haiti. She also managed to establish herself as a character on American television, beginning by playing a recurring character in the show Veronica Mars: She originally auditioned for the lead role but the show's the creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character specifically for her. Tal eventually was offered an appointment as a regular character on the CBS series. He was a part of two TV shows in Israel before making the move to New York. Wyclef Jean was her singer. Hebrew is her mother tongue. She finished second for the role of Veronica Mars (2004). Thomas loved her so much that he created the regular character of Meg Manning just for her. Thomas served in The Israel Defense Forces. Her parents are Jewish as is her father who is Turkish/Jewish and she has a Polish/Jewish mother. She plays the role of Adrian Monk's wife, who was murdered in the finale episode of Monk (2002).
