Bonnie Wright
Bonnie Francesca Wright (born 17 February 1991) is an English model, actress director, activist, and actress. Wright is most well-known for her role in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She remained in the role for 10 years prior to her move to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011). Wright was in numerous independent films following the show. The films received not well-received. In 2013 she made her performance debut on stage in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse. She also obtained a bachelor's degree in filmmaking from the University of the Arts London. The following year, she founded her own production company, BonBonLumiere, and began making short films. Her first film as a director was the coming-of-age-drama Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2012) with David Thewlis, which was released at the Cannes Film Festival to critical applause. She also directed Know Thyself (2016), with Christian Coulson, and Sextant (2016) both of which used landscapes and emotions as themes. Wright's three-part series Phone Calls, which was presented at Tribeca Film Festival 2017, featured three episodes. Medusa’s Ankles (2018) featuring Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and based upon A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She also directed music videos for artists Sophie Lowe, Pete Yorn, as well as Scarlett Johansson. Wright has earned recognition as an environmental activist; she also acts as an ambassador for the charity Greenpeace and Lumos.
