Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is a Canadian actress who is most well-known for her roles in films such as "Apartment Hunting,  Men with Brooms The Tree of Life.' Born in Spalding, Saskatchewan and raised in the area, she later relocated to Alberta where she finished high school. In her teens she began to develop an interest in acting. In order to further her training in acting, she attended the National Theatre School' in Montreal, and then the Moscow Theatre School'. In 1996 she was an actor in the Canadian series called "The Rez." The same year, she also appeared in series' such as "Forever Knight" and "Ready or Not.' She also made her film debut in the late 1990s in the form of a film called 'Papertrail' and later acted in films such as "Men with Brooms" and 'Cypher.' She also played the supporting roles in series' such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery,' and Blue Murder. Although she continued to appear in films into the 2000s her film appearances were smaller than her TV roles. The actress also played the character in the role of Colleen Blessed in the 1998 Canadian drama series 'Power Play. The series received praise from critics and the public and ran for two seasons and 26 episodes. Her role in the series earned her a 'Gemini Award. She had an infant son named Jude Lyon Matchett, in June of 2013. However, she did not disclose the father's name. According to certain sources, her ex-boyfriend is the father of her son. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke and T.W. Peacocke. They began dating in the mid-1990s. The couple got married in 1998. They divorced in 2006 after their marriage broke up.
