Cattrall was born 21 August 1956. She is a British actress and Canadian actor.
Her character in the role of Samantha Jones in HBO's Sex and the City (1998-04)
is one of her most famous roles. She earned five Emmy Award nominations and
four Golden Globe Award nominees. In 2002 she won the Golden Globe for Best
Supporting Actress. The role was reprised in the films Sex and the City (2008)
and Sex and the City 2 (2011). Cattrall made her debut in film in Rosebud (1975)
and then appeared in numerous TV roles. In films such as Ticket to Heaven
(1981), Police Academy (1984), Hold-Up (85) and City Limits(85), Big Trouble in
Little China [86(also known as Mannequin(1987), Mannequin (1987), Masquerade in
1988), Midnight Crossing in 1989, and The Return of the Musketeers in 1989,
Cattrall became a household name. Tribute (1980), Porky's (81) and Turk
182(85), and Baby Geniuses (999) were among the occasions in which she appeared
alongside Bob Clark. Other credits include The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990),
Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country (91), Split Second (1992), Above
Suspicion (95) and 15 Minutes (192001).
