Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actress also a director, actor, and musician. She has directed a number of episodes of TV that include Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). In addition, she was the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently a part of two pilots currently in development. Milena was one of the eight filmmakers chosen for AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women, as well as the exclusive Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program. Her short film and TV series proof-of-concept , Unspeakable, starring Laura Vandervoort and Jeff Kober, featured its World premiere at SXSW and was awarded Best Episodic at Seattle International Film Festival and Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) is screened across the United States and won Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has been in over 100 television episodes acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) is a Dick Wolf series, was her second main role. This led to her being awarded the Emmy for best female detective in Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have been a part of her, or have recurred. Milena has been in numerous films such as Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) with the lead opposite Method Man; as well as #Lucky Number (2015). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian at her high school before she completed a double major vocal performance and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She also graduated valedictorian. After graduation, Milena utilized her ballet education to appear on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
