Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She was the Teletoon child's comedy series Majority Rules' Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010 she was the lead character Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's show Majority Rules! Then she starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic science fiction series Revolution from 2012-2014, on which she received a Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. Annika Johnson was the character Annika in the A&E TV series Bates Motel. Since the year 2017, Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. Spiridakos portrays Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owner George Spiridakos and George Spiridakos who both were born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. After she was born, her family moved to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She feels strongly linked to her Greek heritage, and she is fluent in Greek. Spiridakos began acting in junior high school. She later studied at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated from Oak Park High School. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting and within a couple of weeks, she had her first television role in a small role on Supernatural. She continued to work on television as a walk-on in Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos appeared in the TV film Goblin as well as the web-based show Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos has also appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her first lead role in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl who appeared on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! In 2011, she made her feature film debut with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She was also the director of Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller directed by Michael Greenspan. It starred Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy and directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos made an appearance as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original movie, Rags. The character of Charlotte Matheson who is a survivalist living in a dystopian civilisation, was her leading role in the NBC television show Revolution. She was auditioning while attending her pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos made the pilot film in Atlanta and also filmed the pilot season in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her performance on the first season of the show was nominated her for the Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. However, she lost to the Fringe's Anna Tov. In the second season production was moved to Austin Texas.
