Emily Swallow

American actress Emily Swallow, born December 18th 1979. She is most famous for her roles on The Mentalist's Kim Fischer and Supernatural's 11th season as Amara / The Darkness. She also is famous for her role as The Armorer in The Mandalorian, the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born December 18 1979, in Washington, D.C. Her family lived in Sterling, Virginia, as well as Jacksonville, Florida. When she was at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville the actress began performing in a variety of college, amateur professional and professional theatre productions. Swallow graduated with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She continued her studies towards an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She appeared in two international premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's play Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. She was awarded the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in the year 2010 for her performance in Kate in the film The Taming Of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman devised an original stage show titled Jac N Swallow and performed it in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show centers on the hilarious mishaps of the duo as they confront a myriad of life situations, each with their own unique degree of sanity, and decency.
