Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born March 23 of 1976. She is well-known for her role as the lead in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Made of Honor (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), Trucker (2008), Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015), and Patriots Day (2016). Also, she has received awards for her starring role in the role of Julia Meade in the action spy film series Mission: Impossible, appearing in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), and Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).On the television screen, Monaghan starred as Maggie Hart in the initial season of the crime drama show True Detective (2014), in which she earned an award nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. She was also the character Sarah Lane on the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after just one season. Monaghan was the child of Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Bob as well as John are her elder brothers. Monaghan is from Irish and German origin was raised Catholic and graduated East Buchanan High School 1994. Following graduation, she relocated to Chicago to pursue a journalism degree at Columbia College Chicago and began to model. She has modelled in Milan and Tokyo, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and the United States. With only one term left to complete her journalism education in 1999, she made the move to New York to pursue an acting career. Modeling was her forte and was featured in various catalogs and magazines, before beginning her acting career. The first two TV appearances, which were in a secondary role she played Caroline Busse in episodes of Young Americans, which aired in 2000. She also appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in "Consent" The episode that aired on the 19th of January 2001. She made her debut on screen the same year with Perfume which she played the role of Henrietta. Her next film, also playing a role of support, was in 2002 in Unfaithful in which she starred Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
